The said award was proudly presented to Dr. Nanvare for his remarkable work in the field of Medical and Public Health specifically in tuberculosis as "Adarsh Doctor National Award" dated May 5, 2024 in the presence of honorable dignitaries and chief guests at Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Smarak Bhavan Dussehra Chowk Kolhapur.

Dr. Rajendra Nanavare, a renowned chest physician, was honored with a prestigious doctorate by the Gandhi Peace Foundation Nepal for his exceptional contributions to public health services and adherence to Dr. Ambedkar's principles. With over 35 years of service at one of Asia's largest infectious disease hospitals, Dr. Nanavare has left an indelible mark on the medical community.

His tenure as former Medical Superintendent at the Group of TB Hospitals in Mumbai and faculty member at P.G. for College of Physicians and Surgeons CPS, Parel,Mumbai reflects his expertise in tropical medicine, chest diseases, and TB. Dr. Nanavare's editorial contributions to the Indian Journal of TB and leadership in the National Bedaquiline Pilot Project underscore his dedication to advancing medical research and treatment.

Beyond professional endeavors, Dr. Nanavare is recognized for his humanitarian efforts, organizing free medical camps and supporting cultural events, earning him the Bharat Bhushan Award. His exemplary legacy inspires future generations with the spirit of Buddhism service and compassion.

Additionally, he was honored by the Indian Medical Association as a distinguished professor on Teacher's Day and Maharashtra's IMA honored him in 2023 as a best Academician on Doctor's Day,  the Indian government on 11th February 2024 bestowed upon him the prestigious Bharat Bhushan Award for his commendable social contributions.
