A Tribute to My Father on World Father's Day.

Tribute to My Father on World Father's Day

On this auspicious occasion of  World Father’s Day, I wish to pay a heartfelt tribute to my father, a man whose unwavering dedication and selfless sacrifices have shaped my journey into the medical profession.

My father retired from his job when I passed my 10th standard, having taken on a private job at the age of 65 to support my education. His dream was to see me become a doctor, a vision deeply rooted in his experiences and the suffering he witnessed during my mother's illness. Losing my mother to tuberculosis when I was just 2.5 years old left a profound impact on him, inspiring him to ensure that I could help others in similar situations.

His relentless efforts and steadfast encouragement have not only allowed me to pursue my medical education but have also driven me to excel in my field. With over 35 years of service in a highly infectious hospital, I have faced the challenges of working in an environment where healthcare workers are at constant risk. My dedication to teaching postgraduate students and contributing to over 20 research publications in international scientific journals is a testament to the values he instilled in me.

My father's influence extends beyond my professional achievements. His compassion inspired me to engage in community outreach programs, organizing awareness campaigns, and conducting free medical checkups in slums and educational institutions. These efforts aim to address health disparities and bring care to the most vulnerable populations, reflecting the empathy and dedication he has shown throughout his life.

Today, I honor my father, whose dreams and sacrifices have made me the person I am. His legacy lives on through my work, and I am forever grateful for his love, guidance, and unwavering support. Happy Father’s Day, Dad. Your dream has become my mission, and your spirit continues to inspire and drive me every day.
